Hiking in Val Algone with Andrea Bettega, illustrator and designer
Join us for a unique excursion in Val Algone with special guest Andrea Bettega, an acclaimed illustrator and designer. This experience is part of our "Special Guests" series where experts from the worlds of culture, science, literature, and art offer fresh perspectives and insights on the landscape.
An illustrator and designer from Vicenza, Andrea creates bold, eye-catching work for brands, companies and publishers, marked by vivid colours, sharp contrasts and strong shadows. A passionate mountain lover, he is also the creator, writer and producer of the podcast L’AltraMontagna – Alpigrafismi, a series blending literary passages, artistic analysis, film clips, vintage ads, and everything pop culture has ever said about the highlands. His collaborations include Il Sole 24 Ore, L’Espresso, Accademia della Crusca, Salani Editore, La Stampa, Iperborea, Il Corriere della Sera, Il Foglio, Montura, Il Saggiatore, Patagonia, Editrice People, CNSAS, Legambiente, Nord Est Multimedia, and L’AltraMontagna.
This excursion offers a chance to see the environment through the lens of an artist and engage with the landscape in ways you’ve never imagined.
From the car park at Malga Movlina, a short walk leads to one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Park, with sweeping views over the Brenta, Adamello and Presanella ranges. After crossing Passo del Gotro, the trail descends to Malga Bandalors, offering uninterrupted views over Val Rendena. The return path winds through remnants of the valley's glassmaking past, where mining activity once flourished.
The activity is available in Italian only.
