Walking through the streets of the towns and villages, tasting and testing fine fare at the market stalls while breathing in the mountain or lake air – the markets of Garda Trentino are colourful, authentic, contrasting and – typically for Italy – quite noisy too!
Regional markets appear in all sorts of guises, both at the lake shore and on the village square. There are typical weekly markets, offering everything from cheese and fish to clothing, or farmers' markets, where fresh produce from the surrounding areas is on sale. A special highlight, by the way, is provided by the markets held on the saints’ days of the individual localities, with numerous stalls and offers that attract not only local villagers, but visitors from all over! It is a fact that regular markets take place in (almost) every town and village of Garda Trentino – and further afield too. And each one is worth a visit!
