Simona Severini, a singer-songwriter with a diverse background rooted in jazz, has collaborated with renowned artists such as Enrico Pieranunzi, Gabriele Mirabassi, and Enrico Intra. She has graced the stages of numerous festivals including Umbria Jazz, Spoleto Festival, Bologna Festival, and has even participated as a singer-songwriter in San Remo Giovani. Her voice is a rare gem, and her music offers an original fusion of jazz and echoes of Renaissance music, creating an intimate and captivating experience. When Simona met violinist Daniele Richiedei and bassist Giulio Corini, FEDRA was born. Together, they explore the intricate space between jazz and early music, approaching a repertoire that spans nearly 500 years of music history: from Monteverdi to the Italian singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla, from Duke Ellington to Nick Drake. Having performed as esteemed guests in prestigious concert halls and festivals in Italy and abroad, including the Teatro Grande in Brescia, “I Concerti del Quirinale”, and IIC in Stockholm, the trio extends their ensemble this evening by welcoming two distinguished guests who are among the most renowned figures in the national jazz scene.
