Rio Bianco is the striking expression of a karst area rich in caves and waterfalls. Some springs originates from cracks between rocks and give life to rushing waterfalls. Those springs are intermittent due to the karst outflow; from April to November the four principal ones are: Ribianc (672m), Ricugol (840m) the only perennial one, Ribarbison (639m) and Sorgenti basse (630m).
