Sustainability is now a distinguishing feature of tourism, bringing significant added value and addressing a growing demand from tourists who are increasingly concerned with environmental, economic, and social issues. In a world with limited resources, where consumption exceeds what is actually available, adopting a sustainable approach when traveling is no longer a choice but a necessity.
The theme of the fifth edition of the festival is: SUSTAINABLE WINE AND FOOD TOURISM between itineraries and local traditions.
Wine and food tourism represents a tool for the sustainable development of a territory and thus a tourist destination. The Valle dei Laghi features a clear and structured agro-food supply chain centered around sustainability, thanks to the organic farming that distinguishes many local farms. In this small valley, in addition to trekking routes and walking trails, we can also include the gastronomic experience that meets the needs of tourists seeking "slow" experiences and closer contact with the host community. The proposals for the new edition of the festival will revolve around meeting the producers through itineraries that we consider spaces for storytelling and reinterpretation of the territories aimed at enhancing local peculiarities.
The paths winding through the natural and architectural wonders of the hills, spiritual routes linked to historical events, or paths that bring memories to mind—walking often becomes one of the foundations upon which to build the narrative of a community and the territory it inhabits. Events will be proposed from dawn to dusk, touching various points of the area, both in the mountains and on the hills, as well as the lakes, which will be enhanced through some stages of the "Cammino dei 7 laghi", involving local structures and tourism operators.
