Enrica Pellicciari and Mario Manzalini, well-known painters from the border area between Veneto and Lombardy, will exhibit at the “Giuseppe Craffonara” Art Gallery in Riva del Garda from April 18 to 27.
The inauguration will take place on Friday, April 18 at 10:30 AM in the prestigious Giuseppe Craffonara Civic Gallery, located on Via Giardini di Porta Orientale.
Official greetings will be given by Deputy Mayor Silvia Betta, historical researcher Maria Luisa Crosina, art curator and critic Vittorio Spampinato, anthropologist and psychotherapist Alessandro Norsa, and coordinator Annalisa Marini.
“Transparenze” is the title chosen for the exhibition, aiming to resonate with the surrounding natural environment.
The artists, through their interpretations, draw inspiration from the history, architecture, and nature of a region defined by the presence of Lake Garda, whose waters shape its unique beauty.
The main subject portrayed is water, depicted in its many forms. Despite their different styles, the artists skillfully merge colors and shapes with the lake environment.
The two separate exhibitions, differing in both technique and style, are titled:
Both artists present a previously unseen body of work, comprising over twenty canvases of varying sizes.
Enrica Pellicciari uses acrylic on canvas and expresses herself through abstraction: light, color, and brushstroke movement characterize her artistic language.
Art critic Vittorio Spampinato writes about her: “The painter departs from nature and returns to it, using her light yet decisive brush to describe the most intimate and radiant corners of her vision and memories, swept by that vortex of emotions that rises from art and ascends through art to emerge as images of memory, existential traces in rhyme with the heart and the sublime thought of life that animates the ideal of beauty hidden in each of us.”
Mario Manzalini’s subjects are inspired by the historical iconography of Riva del Garda, the nature that defines it, and the souls who have lived or still live there—elements symbolically interpreted by the artist.
Manzalini affirms a unique artistic language, with a deep commitment to study and research, in order to craft an original narrative path through the use of symbols.
Anthropologist Alessandro Norsa writes: “In his soulful existence, between dream and reality, he is constantly seeking Beauty. Like a poetic metamorphosis, the artist opens the doors to the mysteries of the infinite with his brushes, expressing his holistic vision of the Protagonist, Riva del Garda.”
The exhibition will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with continuous hours.
