In the mid-1950s Fred Buscaglione was a myth, established as one of the most beloved and in-demand entertainers, not only as a singer: he was everywhere, in commercials, on television and in movies.
Fred's character, among unlikely Chicago tough guys, ruthless with enemies, always at the mercy of women and alcohol, had imported and made Italians love American Swing.
The irresistible talent of Sam Ghezzi, Italian singer and saxophonist, but resident in Amsterdam, pays tribute to the myth of Fred with his famous songs revisited and rearranged in a Jazz key.
With him on stage is an exceptional band with an explosive rhythm section composed of Giuseppe Blanco, Matteo Padoin, Daniele Patton and the amazing trumpeter Cesare Mecca for an incredible and entertaining immersion in the 'ironic Italian swing of the 1940s and 1950s.
