Quintorigo search, invent, disrupt, destroy to rebuild on the defragmented ruins of the illustrious past a new language made of unheard sounds and free structures. They shaker sounds and musical genres: classical, rock, jazz, punk, reggae, funky, blues, in a continuous interplay between music and voice whose result is like a clear sky from which suddenly comes a storm.
Since their first appearance at the May 1 Concert in Rome's Piazza San Giovanni in 2001, they have graced the stages of the Brand New Tour, the Italian Music Awards, Umbria Jazz, Premio Ciampi, Premio Recanati, L'Alterfesta in Cisternino, Mittelfest, Premio Tenco and Musicultura in Macerata and the Sanremo Festival several times, winning the Critics' Award in the “Giovani” section, the Quality Jury's Award and in the same year the Targa Tenco.
Their albums and live shows have featured artists such as Roberto Gatto, Franco Battiato, Enrico Rava, Antonello Salis, Gabriele Mirabassi, Paolo Fresu, Maria Pia de Vito, Carmen Consoli and Ivano Fossati, Mario Biondi, Juliette Lewis and Eric Mingus, son of Charles Mingus.
“Quintorigo Experience” is a live show that reaffirms the still revolutionary scope of that utopia of electricity, negritude and sacred rock fire that was the Hendrixian experience, a flash never again equaled in recent music history.
