Pericopes+1 is a project of original music, “crossover-jazz” between writing and improvisation, post-rock, prog/electronica/avantgarde sounds, with strong roots in the European tradition and references to Afro-American music.
The international press Herald Tribune, ORF TV Austria, AAJ, Jazziz, RAI RadioTre count him among the most interesting examples in the current jazz scene, calling him: “intelligently heterodox” (Musica Jazz, IT), “power and intention” (Downbeat Usa), “contributes in an original and elegant way to contemporary jazz” (Concerto - Austria), transcending genre stylistic features, “belongs to a new generation ‘ (Jazz ’N' More - Switzerland) of European-minded jazz.
During the course of the years Pericopes+1 has produced four albums, as well as collected more than two hundred concerts in clubs and festivals in Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Holland, Czech Rep, Slovenia, Croatia, UK, China and the USA. In 2023, the group again received a mention as “lineup of the year” in the Top Jazz organized by the prestigious magazine Musica Jazz. Tonight they will preview some tracks from the new album entitled “Good Morning World,” which will be released in October on the Norwegian label Losen Record.
